Established in 1980, Right Management is a global leader in strategic workforce solutions and proud member of the ManpowerGroup family. As we've grown across continents, our workforce capabilities have expanded with us, adjusting to meet the diverse needs of today's rapidly changing workforce.



1980 – Right Management was founded by four entrepreneurs in Philadelphia as a way to build a national career transition company that would provide premium workforce services for candidates and clients.



1986 – After establishing locations across the U.S., including 13 offices in major cities including Boston, Los Angeles and San Francisco and an international affiliate in Paris, France, Right Management made its initial public stock offering, gaining $3.68 million in net proceeds.



1996 – 2003 Right Management continued to grow through the acquisitions of People Tech in 1996 and Coutts Consulting in 2002. The global footprint begins to take shape as offices are added in Canada, China, the Pacific Rim and throughout Europe. Program offerings also increase with the introduction of Career 20/20, the launch of virtual home-based outplacement services and the expansion of its Talent Management offering.

Manpower Group


2004 – Right Management is acquired by ManpowerGroup.

Career Edge


2005 – Right Career Edge Launched. In 2012 this evolved into Career Development and Career Mobility (Right Career).

Right Choice


2007 – Launch of Right Choice®, a breakthrough outplacement solution. It provides exiting employees with in-office and online transition support, with access to skills assessment and development tools; virtual seminars and career coaching; and job search essentials for personal branding, interviewing, resume building and networking. This program can be tailored to meet our clients’ needs, offered in a range of durations, from one-day workshops to 15-month programs. In 2012, enhancements are made to Right Choice® one-size-fits-one platform including 7-day a week career coaching, executive online suite and the addition of an online progress tracker.



2006 – 2009 Right Management expands into India with the 2006 acquisition of Grow Talent, and goes on to establish a presence in Austria in 2008, and Poland in 2009.



2010 – SIA ranks Right Management as the largest outplacement provider in the United States.



2012-2013 – InformationWeek, one of the world's most trusted online communities for business technology, gives RightEverywhere® Innovation Award. Enhancements made to RightEverywhere® platform including the addition of Workfolio™ - a easy-to-use website-building tool that helps individuals build and communicate their personal brand to potential employers.

Focus on Careers


2014 – Expansion into Colleges and Universities. Creation of a global sales team (to provide consistent service to multinational organizations). ManpowerGroup is named to the Ethisphere Institute’s 2014 list of the World’s Most Ethical Companies for its proven commitment to ethical leadership, compliance, corporate social responsibility and business practices at large. Ethisphere Institute is the global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices.



In 2015 – Right Management launches RightEverywhere® as a responsive website. Enhancements to the tool also enable Right Management to expand assessment offerings, offer more tools and resources for users and clients and provide clients the customization options they need to align RightEverywhere® solutions with their brand. For the fifth time, ManpowerGroup is recognized as one of the World's Most Ethical Companies® by the Ethisphere Institute.
