Assessment Contributes to Effective Culture Integration


Client:

Publicly traded, international computing and data services company


Situation:

The client was in the process of acquiring a competitor. They believed that in order to fully realize the value of their acquisition, it would be essential to understand and plan for the effective integration of the two organizations’ cultures. The client knew that compatibility of cultures was a key factor in the success of the integration.


Results:

Right Management helped the client create an effective feedback mechanism to capture employee attitudes through an online survey which had a high response rate of 86%. Based on an analysis of the data, Right Management made recommendations to management to address potential areas of culture conflict and implement an ongoing scorecard for their HR teams globally. By helping the client identify cultural differences and tactics to proactively address them, Right Management helped the client increase the compatibility of cultures and achieve one of the primary goals of the integration strategy.
