Faced with a sudden decline in sales, a Fortune 500 technology company was forced to undertake a global workforce restructuring. However, most of its managers lacked experience in these situations, and a previous outplacement program in the U.S. had caused significant concern for the human resources team.

The client contracted with Right Management as its exclusive provider partner to leverage our global footprint and end-to-end solution approach. For more than six years, a worldwide team of Right Management experts has assisted the company in managing workforce restructuring through tailored transition planning and implementation services, including notification training for managers, on-site consultant assistance during notification, outreach, career centers, job fairs, and individual and group programs. Right Management has also introduced the client’s worldwide HR community to Right Access™, the proprietary Web-based management tool that provides secure online access for monitoring outplacement programs.

Right Management’s relationship with the client continues to build, having introduced a training program focused on change management. Addressing the client’s longer-term talent strategies, Right Management recently initiated a leadership coaching process for 1,000 directors and 200 vice presidents.
