Employees Proactively Manage Careers and Key Talent is Retained


Client:

Global pharmaceutical company


Situation:

The client’s US operations had agreed to align their current sourcing strategy with their European counterparts and the department impacted by this realignment was redefined. The client wanted to retain valued talent by ensuring that those affected by the change were able to effectively assess new roles, relate newly defined competencies with their skill portfolio, and proactively lead and contribute to ensuing career conversations and placement.


Results:

Surveys from a sample group of participants provided the following feedback:

  • 100% found the program valuable, especially the one-on-one sessions

  • 100% found information easy to understand and rated the self-assessment tool either good (71%) or excellent (29%)

  • 100% rated the Right Management representative excellent (73%) or good (27%)

  • 83% felt that this program significantly helped them to understand their career, vision, personal strengths, abilities, and interests (an increase from 38% prior to the program)

  • 96% felt better equipped to proactively manage their careers

As part of the continuing individual development plan process, all participants will be offered additional Coaching after six months.

The client will be offering Right Career Edge to all new hires so that employees are able to effectively manage their career development.
